Katakrak was born in Tona where “The pesseta Fair” takes place, a popular and unique initiative from the 80s consisting of showing games made out of recycling material in the middle of the town square. The continuity and originality of the proposal makes it unique all over Catalonia. The year 2000 this is complemented with “The Jocjoc Fair”.
The quality of both makes Tona the centre of the alternative and different games in our country. Katakrak appears in 2004 when Sandra Sardà starts the project supported by some friends such as Keily, Jordi, Ramonet and Paquito, among others. The support of children is also encouraging: Biel, Martina, Oriol i Jordi... They are the first of trying the games!!!!! Since 2005 we count on Marta, Carme, Josep, Albert and Pep. Moreover, David joins the project contributing with new games and ideas that enrich the essence of Katakrak.
