Katakrak is a space of creation where we invent and construct big-sized games with materials and objects from industrial or familiar waste that we select and manipulate in thousand different ways. We always work on three basic concepts: games, creativity and recycling. Recycling is important in itself but not enough in our work. Not either the reproduction of a game. It is necessary the creative process that leads us to the aesthetic and dynamic of original games.
Katakrak pretends to arouse the attention of the participants in the activity, in order to get a more creative image of recycling: from these objects we can get whatever we imagine. We want to work, encourage and support new approaches around those three main ideas, that's to say, opening ways to new forms of playing, recycling and creating.
